Exploration exercise for part of a graphic design capstone studio project involving the rebranding/revisualization of Kid Cudi.
The concept behind the video involves the juxtaposition between the utopias, perfected image that 1960's advertising footage generally tries to portray, and the slightly demonic, or dystopian, animation style applied to that footage. Relating back to Kid Cudi's lyrics of trying to escape his demons while putting on a brave face to the rest of the world, this video alludes to the overall juxtaposition of the "Day" vs. the "Nite".
